Who we are

Burger Labs designs, owns and publishes software products. We are based in South Africa. We are not a custom software agency. Product names, features and availability may change as apps develop.

GymLoad is currently in development. A dedicated GymLoad privacy policy will be published when that product’s practices can be described from a shipping app. Until then, treat this page as the Burger Labs-level statement only for GymLoad.

This website

The public Burger Labs website is informational. It does not require an account and it does not have a newsletter signup. Most public pages do not load advertising pixels.

When Meta advertising measurement is configured for the Protocol product page, that page may load Meta’s advertising pixel after you choose Allow on the consent prompt. The pixel is used only to measure page visits and intentional “Download on the App Store” button clicks from ads. It does not receive Protocol health information, medication names, bloodwork, symptoms, HealthKit data, or other in-app health details.

If you decline advertising measurement, the Protocol page still works and App Store links still open. Ordinary public browsing of pages without configured advertising measurement does not load that pixel.

There is no contact form. If you email us, we receive the address and message you send so we can reply. We do not sell personal information.

The site uses system fonts. WordPress may set cookies if you sign in to the administration area. Meta advertising cookies are only set on the Protocol page after Allow is chosen when measurement is configured.

Hosting and security systems that deliver the website may process routine technical information — such as IP address, browser type, request time and security logs — to serve pages and protect the site. WordPress administration tools, including a private operations dashboard, are not part of the public site and are not offered to visitors.

Burger Labs may use short campaign links that count aggregate clicks and then send you to Apple or a Burger Labs page. Those links do not store your IP address. They are not present on every page.

How product policies work

The Burger Labs website policy above covers this site. Each product policy covers that app: what it processes, what stays on the device, what may leave the device, and which third-party services are involved where that is relevant.

If a product exists on more than one platform, one product policy is used, with a platform-specific section where the practices actually differ. Do not assume every Burger Labs app uses analytics, accounts, cloud sync or the same third parties.

Third parties used by this website

The public website is hosted as a WordPress site with a South African hosting provider. If you follow a link to Apple, Google, Protocol Labs or another site, that destination has its own privacy practices.

When advertising measurement is configured and allowed on the Protocol page, Meta Platforms receives ordinary advertising-pixel technical information for that visit and for App Store button clicks. Meta’s practices are described in Meta’s own privacy materials.

Protocol also has a product website at protocollabs.co.za. Apple App Store and Google Play purchases, where they exist, are processed by Apple or Google — not by a Burger Labs checkout on this website.

Retention, security and where information is processed

Email we receive is kept as long as needed to answer and for ordinary business records. Technical hosting and security logs are kept according to the host’s ordinary operations, then discarded or overwritten.

We take reasonable steps to protect correspondence and the website, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.

Burger Labs is based in South Africa. If you email us, that correspondence is received by us in South Africa. Hosting and security systems that deliver the website may process technical information in the countries where they operate. Product-specific processing is described on each product privacy page.

Your rights

If we hold personal information about you — typically because you emailed us — you may ask us to confirm what we hold, correct it, or delete it where that is reasonably possible. Say which product or website page your request relates to. We will respond in a reasonable time.

This policy is written so it remains usable for users outside South Africa, without claiming that Burger Labs is certified under every privacy law that may apply to you. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact the Information Regulator in South Africa.

Children’s privacy

This website is not directed at children. Burger Labs products are intended for adults using professional, health-organisation or aviation-planning tools. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through this website.

Changes

We may update this page when the website or our products change. The “Last updated” date will change when that happens.
