Selah Privacy Policy

Selah (App Store name: Selah Bible) is a Burger Labs iOS app for reading Scripture with short explanations, guided Walks, and prayer-related tools. It is an independent Burger Labs product.
What Selah is
Selah helps you open Bible passages, read curated explanations, follow thematic Walks, and use in-app prayer and helpline paths. Optional tip purchases are intended to support anti-trafficking work through A21 (a21.org). Apple processes those App Store payments.
What stays on your device
Bible text, explanations, Walk content, and in-app reading or prayer activity that the app stores locally stay on your Apple device unless you choose to share something with us. Selah does not require a Burger Labs account.
What may leave the device
If you open an external link (for example a crisis helpline, A21, or a Burger Labs website page), your browser or the system opens that destination and that site’s own privacy practices apply.
If you buy an optional tip through the App Store, Apple processes the purchase. Burger Labs does not receive your payment card details. Net proceeds after Apple’s fees and ordinary costs are intended for A21; the payment itself is handled by Apple.
Accounts, purchases and analytics
No Burger Labs account is required. Tips are optional In-App Purchases via Apple’s StoreKit. The current app does not include advertising trackers or third-party analytics SDKs.

Platform-specific information
Selah is an iOS app distributed through the App Store and TestFlight. There is no Android version at the time of this policy.
Children’s privacy
Selah is not directed at children. Burger Labs does not knowingly collect personal information from children through Selah.
Your rights
Burger Labs is based in South Africa. If we hold personal information about you — typically because you emailed us — you may ask us to confirm what we hold, correct it, or delete it where that is reasonably possible. We will respond in a reasonable time.
This page explains our practices in plain language. It is not legal advice and it does not claim that Burger Labs is certified under every privacy law that may apply to you. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may also contact the Information Regulator in South Africa.
Security and retention
Information stored in the app remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or uninstall the app, except where you exported a copy or wrote data to another service such as Apple Health. Email we receive is kept as long as needed to answer and for ordinary business records.
We take reasonable steps to protect correspondence, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Protect your device, keep its software current, and share exports carefully.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the product’s behaviour or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when that happens. Continued use of the product after an update means you should read the revised policy.
