Understanding schedules and reminders

How to set protocol schedules and dose reminders, and how Routine reminders differ.

The schedule is when a dose is expected. The reminder is the notification that helps you remember. They are related, but not the same thing.

Set or change a protocol schedule

  1. Open the Protocol tab.
  2. Tap the protocol.
  3. Tap Edit.
  4. Find the schedule / When is it used? fields.
  5. Change Frequency, Starts and Daily times as needed.
  6. Tap Done.

Turn on a dose reminder for a protocol

  1. While adding or editing the protocol, open the Reminder options.
  2. Turn on Dose reminder.
  3. Choose Alert (At dose time, or 15 minutes / 30 minutes / 1 hour before).
  4. Save with Continue or Done.

Routine reminders

A Routine can have its own Reminder time. That reminder groups today’s due items in the Routine. It does not change each protocol’s scheduled dose times.

If no notification appears

Also check Settings → Reminders → Notifications, and iOS Settings → Protocol → Notifications. See Notifications aren’t arriving.
