Understanding trends and associations

How Protocol presents trends without claiming one thing caused another.

When a metric or blood result moves around the same time as a protocol change, Protocol may help you see that timing.

  • That is useful context;
  • It is not automatic proof of causation;
  • Diet, training, sleep, illness, stress, other medicines and normal variation can all change too.

In Insights, look for Observation, not causation. Treat charts as associations in your recorded data unless a clinician says otherwise.

Protocol helps you track and understand your information. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
