What a no-fly result means

How to interpret a no-fly aviation risk outcome in DroneAirspace.

A no-fly result indicates that, based on available data and your planned parameters, DroneAirspace has identified significant aviation or regulatory risk at this location.

What it does not mean

  • That every possible restriction worldwide has been checked;
  • That official NOTAMs have been applied in the app (check official sources);
  • That no pathway exists for an authorised operation — some professional operations proceed with formal approval.

What to do

Do not treat a no-fly result as a challenge to overcome without authority. Re-plan to a lower-risk location, adjust parameters, or pursue formal SACAA and ATS authorisation if your operation genuinely requires it.

DroneAirspace is decision support for flight planning. It does not grant permission, authorisation or regulatory approval to fly. Always verify current official aeronautical information before an operation.
