Low risk is not authorisation

Why a favourable risk result still requires full compliance.

A lower aviation risk result means DroneAirspace did not detect major airspace conflicts at your planned parameters. It is not authorisation to fly.

You must still

  • Comply with SACAA regulations for your operation category;
  • Obtain ATS coordination in controlled airspace where required;
  • Check official NOTAMs and temporary restrictions outside the app;
  • Assess weather, terrain and site-specific hazards;
  • Secure landowner permission when needed.

Decision support only

Treat DroneAirspace as one planning input alongside official briefings and your own operational judgement.

DroneAirspace is decision support for flight planning. It does not grant permission, authorisation or regulatory approval to fly. Always verify current official aeronautical information before an operation.
