Remote pilot responsibility

Your obligations under SACAA and good airmanship.

As remote pilot in command, you are responsible for the safety of the operation, compliance with SACAA regulations and obtaining required permissions.

Includes

  • Pre-flight planning and risk assessment beyond any app;
  • Maintaining visual line of sight unless specifically authorised otherwise;
  • Yielding to manned aircraft;
  • Securing landowner consent;
  • Carrying required documentation.
