Risk Assessment

What contributes to aviation risk

Airspace, aerodromes, terrain, weather and data confidence.

Aviation risk in DroneAirspace combines multiple independent factors. Regulatory requirements and operational risk are considered separately where possible.

Primary factors

  • Controlled airspace overlap at or below your planned height;
  • Proximity to aerodromes, heliports and approach paths;
  • Published high-risk or restricted areas;
  • Terrain relative to airspace floors;
  • Weather conditions affecting operational risk;
  • Missing or uncertain data reducing confidence.

Each briefing item explains why it matters. Address the highest-severity items first in your planning workflow.

DroneAirspace is decision support for flight planning. It does not grant permission, authorisation or regulatory approval to fly. Always verify current official aeronautical information before an operation.
