Official vs imported data

Understand the difference between ATNS data and your own overlays.

Official aviation overlays come from ATNS aeronautical publications. Imported overlays come from files you provide.

Trust hierarchy

  • Official ATNS airspace and aerodrome data — authoritative for aviation structure;
  • Weather models — planning estimates;
  • Imported KML/KMZ — reference only unless you verified the source.

Risk assessment

Aviation risk uses official data inputs. Imported layers are visual aids and do not override official airspace detection.

DroneAirspace is decision support for flight planning. It does not grant permission, authorisation or regulatory approval to fly. Always verify current official aeronautical information before an operation.
